The first shows the layout in solid form, like this: The second shows the layout in printable outline form, like this: Having the outline form allows you to save a lot of ink when you print the layouts! As a bonus I have also included a final section in the book which describes, in words and pictures, how to fabricate custom length track sections.Have you ever spent a few hours laying out that perfect track design, only to find the last track section is 3 inches too long to connect?With my “How to make custom length slot car track sections†tutorial you’ll never have to worry about that again. You’ll see and learn how to fabricate a ½ curve, ¼ straight, or whatever length of a standard track section you need to complete a layout. You can also use a ½ standard curve to create 90 degree turns in your layouts. This enhances the possibilities tremendously and often allows better use of space and more realistic layouts.
